Find your feelgood health

Shona Vertue is a personal trainer, yoga teacher and creator of the Vertue Method, which combines weighted resistance training and cardio with yoga and meditation. Shona’s method, developed during her decade of teaching, is now practised in over 60 countries and encourages people to focus on fun while being active, rather than aesthetic goals and punishing exercise routines.

Shona created these exclusive HIIT, yoga and glute workouts for days when you don’t have much time, but still want to get your body moving!

1. Brain Booster

You need less than 20 minutes to kick start your day with Shona’s full body yoga sequence to help you prepare for the day ahead.

Energy levels play a huge part in our productivity and by waking up your body and boosting your circulation in the morning you also help to stimulate your brain. Remember, hydration is also a really big part of maintaining good cognitive function so make sure you stay hydrated throughout your entire day. So grab a glass of water and let’s get started!

2. Prime Posture

For desk-bound days, long commutes, or times when you’re just sitting and not really moving around much, try this glute workout. Strengthening your glutes will not only help improve your posture, but can also decrease your risk of injuries. Having a perky butt is just the bonus!

3. Stress Suppresser

Shona’s weight training workout is the ultimate stress buster. She combines yoga and breathing practice with weighted kettlebell exercises to make you sweat and release endorphins (you’ll get that happy feeling!) to help you stay calm and focused.

Safety first!

We want you to get the most out of these workouts and really enjoy the benefits. As with any new fitness program, please do consult your physician or other health care professional before starting to determine if it’s right for your needs, especially if you’re pregnant, or have an existing condition or injury. If you experience faintness, dizziness, pain or shortness of breath at any time while exercising you should stop immediately and seek medical advice. This guided workout has been designed to benefit your health, but it may not be right for everyone.

Exercises to be undertaken at individual’s own risk. AXA Health and Shona Vertue will not be held responsible for any harm or personal injury which you may suffer as a result of this workout.
