Serious illness affects everyone. If a member of your team needs an operation or a procedure, having the Treatment option on your small business health insurance plan means they’ll be treated quickly, helping to put everyone’s minds at ease.
With Comprehensive Cancer Cover included too (unless you choose to opt out from the full cancer cover), your team can have quick access to treatment for cancer including surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.*
If you include the Outpatient option too, our specialist appointments booking service team can arrange an appointment with a specialist somewhere that works for your employee – near home or work – at a good time for them and your business. If hospital treatment is the next step, they’ll be treated privately.
*Individual exclusions may apply, regardless of group cover.
Julie is 46 and owns a painting and decorating business in Norwich. She employs two other people, part time and, because the work they do is very physical, has the Treatment option on her healthcare cover. Recently, she’s been suffering from severe knee pain and has been to see a specialist who has referred her for knee surgery.
Because of her private health treatment option, Julie has already had her operation. She didn’t have to wait long and her procedure was carried out at a private hospital near home. We paid the fees for Julie’s operation in full as it was carried out at a hospital listed in our directory.
With this option, you'll receive the below if you require treatment (not including cancer*):

Hospital accommodation for mum or dad: when your employee’s child is covered by your insurance and receiving eligible private treatment, or up to £100 a night for nearby hotel accommodation (up to £500 a year).
Outpatient surgery: when your employee is treated at a hospital or day patient unit in our Directory of Hospitals.
Specialist scans: CT, MRI or PET scans on referral at a scanning centre or a hospital listed as a scanning centre in our directory.
Help with ambulance transport: ambulance transport to another medical facility if your employee is receiving eligible private treatment in one hospital and is medically required to be transferred to another facility.
Cashback for inpatient NHS treatment: Cash payment of £100 a night (up to the value of £2,000 a year) when your employee has free inpatient treatment under the NHS that would've been eligible on their plan.
*If you are diagnosed with cancer, this option only provides cover for any specialist-referred cancer drugs that the NHS won't pay for. For any other cancer treatment you would need to use the NHS.
