With AXA Doctor at Hand, powered by Doctor Care Anywhere, you can select from a choice of appointments by video or phone, 365 days a year, with a GP or Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
GPs are available 24 hours a day and Advance Clinical Practitioners are available from 8am-10pm (subject to appointment availability).

What about prescriptions?
If you need a prescription, the doctor will issue one on your AXA Doctor at Hand account – where you can choose to either collect from your local pharmacy or get delivered direct to your door.
These are private prescriptions, so you may need to pay more than a normal NHS fee, including delivery if selected. However, the clinician will always try and prescribe the most cost-effective medicine. Outpatient prescriptions and deliveries are not covered by the plan and prescriptions are only available in the UK.
