We believe that keeping in good health can feel good. Health is not a destination, it’s a continuous journey that we travel on our entire lives, and when that journey is joyful it’s much more likely to be successful. There’s plenty of evidence that doing what you enjoy is not only better for your overall health, but also helps to establish good habits that you stick to for longer.
Dr Steve Granier explains how forming habits can help us to achieve our goals and why incorporating them into existing behaviours means they’re much more likely to stick.
A study* showed that an effective way to start getting into exercise is to find an activity that you actually enjoy doing, and that suits your personality. If you have fun doing something, you’re more likely to do it again.

When we see exercise as something we do for fun, we’re more likely to stick to a healthy balanced diet, or seek out foods that better nourish our bodies. So how we feel while being physical can actually influence the degree to which it ultimately benefits our overall health.
At AXA Health we understand that everyone’s health journey is different: there is no single ‘correct’ way to do it, as we all find joy in different activities. So we want to encourage, support and inspire you to find what works for you, on your terms. We want you to find your own Feelgood Health.
