Often the questions we have regarding our health come when we least expect it. At AXA Health our experienced healthcare practitioners are available at the end of the phone day or night – we’re here for you. Speak to our specialist cancer and heart nurses 9am-5pm Monday – Friday. Outside these hours our experienced nurses and counsellors provide round the clock support by phone.

24/7 health support line

We understand that health worries can be a troubling distraction for your team. Our team of medical professionals are available to call 24/7, for information and support. So you don't worry a minute longer than you have to. Nurses and counsellors are available 24/7, pharmacists and midwives are available 8am–8pm Mon to Fri, 8am-4pm Saturdays and 8am-12pm Sundays.

Access to the right specialist

We’ll get you and your team to the right specialist when you include our Outpatient or Diagnostics Only options on your plan. We aim to come back to you with details of up to three specialists for you to arrange your own appointment, by the end of the next working day or sooner, or if you prefer, we can source a specialist and book an appointment for you at a convenient time. You just need to ask the GP for an open referral.

Easing the pressure with physio

Problems with muscles, bones and joints can get worse if they’re not treated. With AXA Health, you can book a phone or video appointment with a physiotherapist and be seen within a matter of days. There’s no need for a GP referral first, saving you time and worry. This service is for members aged 18 and over.

24/7

24/7 online GP service

AXA Doctor at Hand, powered by Doctor Care Anywhere, is a 24/7 service, available to your employees wherever and whenever they need it. With a choice of appointments with GP’s or Advanced Clinical Practitioners (Available 8am – 10pm) for advice, eligible referrals and more, our online GP service takes care of things seamlessly. Appointments are subject to availability.

Mental Health cover option

Our Mental Health cover option can help to show your business commitment to supporting mental health, whether your team needs counselling via our mental health support service, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), or care in a private hospital (cover may be subject to medical history). Plus, you can rest assured that your team can start receiving help quickly, without any fuss.

Employee Assistance Programme cover option

With an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) in place, your team can get help with the things that are affecting them right away before they start to impact their wellbeing and productivity. Whether it’s a family break up, difficulties with debt or questions about mortgages, you can rest assured that your team will have someone to talk to confidentially, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

You can provide our Employee Assistance Programme Essentials and our Mental Health option to your team for as little as £3.32 per person, per month.^

^Based on six employees (aged 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 & 50), living in Guildford, paying annually for a 5% discount, with a £100 excess and a two year moratorium on pre-existing conditions. Costs are representative as of April 2024, and prices will vary depending on location, cover options and ages.
