Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

Built for today, ready for tomorrow

No two people are the same, and neither are the challenges they face. From the day-to-day struggles of the modern world to significant life events that affect us all, everyone needs somewhere to turn for reassurance when things get too much.

Meeting the complex needs of a diverse workforce needs a fresh, personal approach – an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) that supports whole health, empowers people to make positive changes and complements their lives today.

Through their EAP, your people can get confidential, impartial support supplied by experts. From mental health struggles to life management and consumer rights, they’ll gain the right guidance and support, whenever it’s needed.

FAQs

An Employee Assistance Programme, or EAP, is an employee benefit that offers support and guidance to your employees with personal or work-related challenges related to your mind health, physical health, your role as a line manager, or for stressful life events. If you choose our EAP Premier, and where deemed appropriate by experts, this might include access to short-term counselling support too.

When an employee call us, they’ll be talking with a mental health practitioner or counsellor who will direct them to the most appropriate support for their situation.

The practitioner will start by asking them a few questions, so they understand what information they’re looking for and what support they need.

They’ll take some memorable information and their employer’s name. This helps to access their information quickly in future and identify them to support options your organisation provides for employees. The call is always completely confidential, and details are not shared with the employer

Some problems are easier to work through than others. The fully qualified and experienced mental health practitioners and counsellors can help with a number of challenges, including but not limited to:

Typical problems that are helped with include:

No, you will purchase this service and provide it free of charge to your employees as part of your health and wellbeing package.

Employees can call each time a new challenge arises – we’re here 24/7 to take your call. Just talking about the problem over the phone can feel like a huge step forward.

Our service is completely confidential, and we cannot share any personal details of any conversation. The very rare exceptions to this are if there is concern that someone may be a serious risk to themselves or others, or if there is a legal obligation to do so.

Aggregated data is provided on the number of people who have called and about the types of challenges faced, such as debt and mental health - this is aggregated and anonymised and under no circumstances would any identifiable information about an individual employee be supplied.

With Premier EAP, and where scheduled counselling is needed, the service makes it easy to access the support required.  A fully qualified counsellor or mental health practitioner will listen and steer the employee towards the right level of help at the right time. Scheduled counselling can be delivered face-to-face, by telephone or online via video or live chat.
