Employee Assistance Programme

Life can bring plenty of challenges. From day-to-day struggles to significant events, everyone needs somewhere to turn when things get too much. Meeting the different, complex needs of a diverse workforce in today’s world needs a fresh approach.

Employee Assistance Programmes need to evolve and ours goes the extra mile. Whether an employee needs help forming healthy habits, or they’re dealing with stress, anxiety or personal issues, our EAP is here to support your client’s employees’ whole health and offers confidential guidance to them and their family.

For your Large Corporate clients, EAP is available as a standalone service or as an integration into their healthcare scheme or plan with AXA Health. Or it can added as a cover option within our SME health insurance plans. Choose between our Essential and Premier EAPs to find the right fit for your business and make wellbeing part of the everyday conversation. How it works

Personal, accessible round-the-clock support

Your clients’ employees will have fast access to the right expert-led help, alongside a wealth of other wellbeing support to encourage and enable year-round engagement.

24/7
24/7 EAP helpline

Your clients’ people can speak to a fully qualified counsellor or mental health practitioner by phone, live chat, SMS or WhatsApp – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Whatever the problem the EAP team is ready to provide appropriate support and guidance.  And there’s no limit to the number of different concerns that someone can call about.

Mindfulness
Mental health assessment

Qualified, experienced mental health practitioners and counsellors are available - both online and over the phone – to discuss mental health challenges and assess concerns.

Informed by a number of measures including the CORE-10 system employees will be directed to the right support according to their needs.

In-the-moment support

Some common mental health challenges are better dealt with there and then. Our service offers 24/7 in-the-moment clinical support, where appropriate, for those who need to discuss a concern or an issue right away. Delivered by fully qualified experts, it’s available 24/7 – both directly and by arranging a call back – and can include follow-up sessions and onward referrals where necessary.

In the UK, only in-the-moment support is available for dependants. Full-service delivery for employees aged 16 and over. We can include pricing terms for full access for dependants at quote stage.

Short-term counselling

When scheduled counselling is what’s needed, our short-term counselling service makes it easy for people to access the right support. Based on an assessment of their requirements, your clients’ employee will be steered towards the right level of help at the right time.

Available by video, telephone and in-person, employees can work through their concerns in confidence and pain the right level of help at the right time.

These scheduled counselling sessions are only accessible through EAP Premier and you can choose between 5, 6 and 8 session models to match your offering to the needs of your  client’s business. And because, from time to time, employees may experience more than one challenge, we never limit the support they receive to one individual concern.

24/7
24/7 health support line

Wider health concerns can arise at any time – day or night. Whether an employee is worried about a new diagnosis or some upcoming surgery, or they can’t sleep because of a worry, support is available 24/7.

Our 24/7 health support line includes nurses available 24/7, 365 days a year. Pharmacists and midwives are available Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm, Saturday 8am to 4pm, and Sunday 8am to 12pm.

Manager support and referrals

Accessible online or via the 24/7 helpline, expert advice is at hand to ensure managers are supported with their own challenges as well as to help them feel comfortable and assured when dealing with challenging, unfamiliar or complex situations.

Life Management

Mental health challenges, such as low mood, stress and anxiety, can be impacted by other aspects of our lives. Knowing where to turn isn’t always easy. From financial worries or legal issues to housing concerns and eldercare, Life Management gives your people somewhere to turn to for guidance and practical support.

Financial consultations are available Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. Legal consultations are available Monday to Thursday between 8:30am and 11pm, Fridays between 8:30am and 8pm, and Saturdays between 8:30am and 4pm (BST/GMT).
