At AXA Health we’re continuously looking to evolve our products and services to meet the needs of clients and members. The next phase of this sees us launch the AXA Health Plan to a small number of direct, individual members.
The AXA Health Plan is a new healthcare proposition, based on over 1000 hours of research, talking to customers about what they really want from their private health insurance. It reflects changing customer expectations, empowering members to have more control and choice. Members can build a plan that adapts for each person included on their policy, only paying for the cover they want and need.
The plan forms part of our vision to be the healthcare provider of choice. It’s a transformation of our end-to-end quote and onboarding experience, from more flexible payment options to personalised and simpler handbooks. We’re offering a digitally-led experience through new, integrated platforms that enable our dedicated customer service teams to support you and your clients at the touch of a button. All while continuing to offer members the reassurance of fast access to private healthcare, along with health and wellbeing benefits and extras they can use every day.
The proposition is the first of its kind and as with most new plans, we’re introducing it slowly, starting with a few individual, direct members. As part of the rollout for intermediaries, we’ll be using initial learnings and continuing to ask for your views to help build an offer that is relevant and meets customer need.
We’re excited to be able to offer this for you and your clients in the future. We’ll be in touch in good time to let you know when we’re introducing the AXA Health Plan to other member groups and making it available for you, our intermediaries, so you’ll have everything you need to bring the AXA Health Plan to your clients.
The AXA Health Plan is a new, buildable and adaptable plan that helps members match cover to their needs. You can help them choose the cover they're interested in and leave out anything they don't need. The key difference between this and our existing plans is that all elements are tailorable for each member. For example, a member could have outpatient cover, while their partner could have outpatient and inpatient cover.
We're focusing on providing the best possible experience for our members, across service and communications. This means designing products that give our members more control and expanding our online services to make for a simpler and better member experience.
As part of rolling out the AXA Health Plan to brokers, we'll also transform the digital broker experience, using our learnings from the initial rollout. We've also gathered insight into the key demands from the broker market and will continue to ask for your views as we build this part of the offer.
At the moment, it's available to selected individuals only. It's not available to business members or through intermediaries at this stage. As with most new plans, we're introducing it slowly.
We constantly refresh our products and gather insight from members to understand what they need and want from us. So the new product reflects changing customer expectations and desire for better control and choice. After all, the world of healthcare is very different to when we launched Personal Health or Health for You. Digital platforms have evolved too in the decade since we launched our previous plans, so it made sense to update both the plan and the digital experience together.
Not at this point. In future we will begin moving existing members to the plan in a planned migration. When we do, we'll let you know in plenty of time.
We only have a few members on the plan because it's new, and like most new plans, we're introducing it slowly. We'll be monitoring it carefully to make sure it will work for everyone, and we'll be in touch when we're ready to move more members onto it. We'll contact you and your clients when they're able to move to the new plan.
We'll be delivering a full communications plan for members, information for brokers, training, and FAQs. We'll be in touch with you in plenty of time with everything you need to know.
We're working through the details of this, so we'll be able to confirm final pricing and commission to you when we're ready to launch for intermediaries.
We have researched the product thoroughly, and insight tells us most customers will continue to buy similar levels of cover to today. However, they report feeling more in control of their choices. We do expect some to buy more limited cover (for example, only inpatient and day patient care or only outpatient diagnosis and care). We'll monitor this closely.
